Our website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not control.
8. Cookies and tracking
Our website and the third-party tools on it may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences such as language, measure traffic, and understand which pages and events are popular. If we use advertising tools (such as the Meta Pixel or Google tags) to measure or improve our ads, they may collect information about your visit to show you relevant Mee You content on other platforms.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as embedded booking tools, may not work properly without them. You can also adjust ad preferences directly in your Meta and Google account settings.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for these signals, our website does not currently respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.
9. Photos and video at events
Classes, socials, pop-ups and community events may be photographed, filmed, recorded or livestreamed by us and the instructors and partners we work with, and shared on our website, social media (such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook), email, flyers and ads. Our waiver lets you opt out of being featured. If you opt out, we make reasonable efforts to keep you out of published content, though you may still appear in the background of group or wide shots.
You can change your choice anytime by emailing [email protected]. On request, we will make reasonable efforts to remove earlier posts from our own accounts, but we cannot recall printed materials or content others have already shared. We do not publish a minor's full name without separate permission from a parent or guardian. Photography during private rentals is agreed with the host in advance, and we may photograph the space before and after a rental to document its condition.
10. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. In general:
- Subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Booking, payment and membership records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
- Signed waivers are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to protect against potential claims, which may be several years after your last visit.
- Inquiry messages are kept as long as needed to respond and plan your booking.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on established providers like Square to handle payment data securely. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by California law.
12. Children and minors
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Some classes and events welcome teens, and some family events welcome kids. For anyone under 18, bookings, payments and waivers must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information online, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Your California privacy rights
We are a small, local business based in California. Depending on the circumstances, California law may give you some or all of the following rights. We are happy to honor these requests for any customer, whether or not a specific law requires it.
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes or signed waivers).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
- Shine the Light. California residents may ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. We do not.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of that authorization. We will respond within the time required by law, generally 45 days.
