Terms of Service

Effective date: November 1, 2026 · Last updated: November 1, 2026

The short version

  • Book and pay through our online booking system. Your booking confirmation spells out the details for your specific reservation.
  • Every participant signs our waiver before dancing or using the space.
  • Memberships renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime.
  • Treat the space and the people in it with respect, and leave it the way you found it.
  • Questions? Talk to us. One person, not a booking department.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mee You LLC, doing business as Mee You ("Mee You," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 74 W Ramsey Street, Suite A, Banning, CA 92220.

These Terms apply when you visit mee-you.com (including mee-you.com/es) or lp.mee-you.com, book or attend a class, social, pop-up or event, rent our space, use our creator studio, purchase a membership, ticket or merchandise, sign up for updates, or enter our space for any reason (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

If you book on behalf of a group, a business or another person, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them and that you are responsible for their compliance.

2. Our services

Mee You is a third space in Banning, California offering:

  • Dance classes and socials in styles such as salsa, bachata, cumbia, line dancing and dance fitness, taught by independent instructors.
  • Community pop-ups such as paint nights, game nights, karaoke and vendor markets.
  • Micro event rentals for birthdays, showers, engagement parties, intimate weddings, quinceañeras, workshops, meetings and other small gatherings.
  • Creator and photo studio rentals by the hour for shoots, filming, podcasts, rehearsals and similar work.
  • Memberships for regular class attendees.

Class schedules, instructors, pricing, add-ons and offerings may change at any time. We will do our best to keep our website and booking pages current, but the details in your booking confirmation control.

3. Bookings and payments

  • Booking platform. Classes, rentals, memberships, tickets and RSVPs are booked and paid through Square. By booking, you also agree to Square's terms for payment processing.
  • Pricing. Prices are listed on our website or booking pages and are in U.S. dollars. Presale and at-the-door pricing may differ. Applicable taxes and fees will be shown at checkout.
  • Accurate information. You agree to give us accurate contact and booking information and to keep it up to date.
  • Confirmation. A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation from us or our booking system and any required payment or deposit has been received.
  • Payment disputes. If something went wrong with a charge, please contact us first. We would much rather fix it directly than through a chargeback.
  • Our right to cancel. We may cancel or reschedule a class, event or booking due to low enrollment, instructor availability, weather, emergencies, utility outages, government orders or other circumstances outside our control. If we cancel, you may choose a full refund, a credit, or a rescheduled date.

4. Classes, socials and pop-ups

Reservations and drop-ins

We recommend reserving in advance because space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows and are charged the at-the-door rate.

Cancellations by you

  • Cancel at least [12] hours before class start time to receive a class credit for a future class.
  • Late cancellations and no-shows are not refunded or credited.
  • Class credits expire [90] days after they are issued and have no cash value.
  • Pop-up and special event tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by us, but they may be transferred to another person if you let us know before the event.

Introductory offers

First-class offers (for example, a $5 or free first class) are limited to one per person, are for new students only, and may be changed or discontinued at any time.

Arrival and participation

Please arrive a few minutes early. Late arrivals may miss the warm-up and may be asked to wait for a safe point to join. Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear (no flip-flops). No partner is needed, and partners rotate in partner classes. You may decline to rotate or to dance with anyone at any time, for any reason.

Instructors

Our instructors may be independent contractors rather than employees. They are responsible for their own instruction, and we expect them to follow our code of conduct.

Age requirements

Some classes and socials have minimum ages (for example, 16 and up), which are listed on the event or booking page. We may ask for proof of age.

5. Memberships

Automatic renewal. Memberships are billed monthly and renew automatically on the same day each month at the then-current rate until you cancel. By purchasing a membership, you authorize us (through Square) to charge your payment method each billing period.
  • How to cancel. You can cancel anytime by emailing [email protected], using the contact form on our website, or through any cancellation option provided in your Square membership account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep your benefits until then.
  • No partial refunds. We do not offer refunds or credits for partial months or unused classes, except where required by law.
  • Price changes. We will give you at least 7 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect on your membership, and you may cancel before it applies.
  • Benefits. Current membership benefits are listed on our website and may include unlimited classes, guest passes, discounts on pop-ups and merchandise, and coworking access. Benefits may change with notice.
  • Personal use. Memberships are for the named member only and may not be shared or transferred. Guest passes must be used as described and do not roll over.
  • Pausing. Requests to pause a membership (for example, for injury or travel) can be made by contacting us and are granted at our discretion.
  • Coworking access is subject to availability and does not apply during classes, private events or studio bookings.

6. Space rentals and micro events

These terms apply to private events, workshops, meetings, pop-ups and other rentals of the space. Your booking confirmation or event agreement will list your date, hours, rate, deposit, add-ons and any special terms. If your event agreement conflicts with this section, the event agreement controls.

Deposits, payment and cancellation

  • A deposit is required to hold your date. Deposit amount and refund terms will be stated in your booking confirmation or event agreement.
  • Unless your confirmation says otherwise, the remaining balance is due before the start of your event.
  • Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be stated in your booking confirmation. If none are stated, deposits are non-refundable, but you may reschedule once to an available date within 6 months if you give us at least 14 days' notice.

Rental time

  • Your rental time includes setup and cleanup. Please book enough time for both.
  • Going over your booked time may be billed at the hourly rate, in half-hour increments, if the space is available.

Capacity and safety

  • Guest count may not exceed the posted capacity of 40 people, or any lower number confirmed in your booking.
  • Exits, fire equipment and walkways must stay clear at all times.
  • No open flames, fog or haze machines, sparklers, fireworks or candles other than enclosed or flameless candles, unless approved by us in writing.
  • No confetti, glitter, rice, loose petals, or anything that damages floors or walls. No nails, screws, staples, tape or adhesives on walls or floors without our written approval.
  • Our drapes, TVs, projector and fixtures may not be moved, altered or removed without our permission.

Food and drinks

  • Outside food and catering are welcome. You or your caterer are responsible for food safety and serving.
  • Alcohol is allowed only with our prior written approval and only in compliance with California law. Alcohol may not be sold (including through tickets or "donations") without the proper license from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. No one under 21 may be served or possess alcohol. We may require a licensed bartender, security or event insurance for events with alcohol, and we may stop alcohol service at any time for safety reasons.
  • Smoking, vaping and cannabis use are not permitted anywhere inside the space.

Your guests

As the Renter, you are responsible for the supervision, safety and conduct of all your guests from arrival until departure, and for making sure they follow these Terms. You agree to share our waiver with your guests and, if we ask, collect their signatures before they take part in any physical activity.

Vendors

You are welcome to bring your own vendors. You are responsible for your vendors' conduct, setup, cleanup and compliance with these Terms. We may ask for vendor contact information and, for some vendors, proof of insurance.

Cleanup and damage

  • Leave the space in the condition you found it: trash bagged, food removed, decorations taken down, and furniture returned to its original layout, unless you purchased our after-hours cleaning add-on.
  • You are financially responsible for any loss, theft or damage to the space, floors, walls, mirrors, fixtures, furniture, sound, lighting, backdrops, props or equipment caused by you, your guests or your vendors. This includes repair or replacement at full cost, any cleaning fee, extra time, and lost rental income while repairs are made. We may charge these amounts to your payment method on file or deduct them from your deposit.
  • We may photograph the space before and after your rental to document its condition.

Noise and neighbors

Please be considerate of neighboring businesses and residents. Music and guests must stay within the space, and noise must be kept at levels that comply with local ordinances.

Insurance

For larger events, events with alcohol, or events with outside vendors, we may require you to carry event liability insurance naming Mee You as an additional insured.

Ending an event

We may end an event early, without refund, if there is a safety risk, illegal activity, serious damage to the space, or a material violation of these Terms.

7. Creator and photo studio

  • Studio bookings are by the hour. Your booked time includes setup and breakdown.
  • Backdrops, lighting and props we provide are available for use during your session and must stay in the space. Handle them with care and report any damage right away.
  • Leave the studio exactly as you found it, with props, furniture and backdrops returned to their places.
  • You are responsible for obtaining releases from anyone you photograph or film and for any permissions needed for music, logos or other content you use.
  • Content that is illegal, obscene or sexually explicit may not be produced in our space.
  • You own the content you create in the studio. If you tag us or credit the space when you post, we appreciate it.

8. Code of conduct

Mee You is built to be a welcoming space for everyone. To keep it that way:

  • Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, threats or violence of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Consent on the dance floor. Ask before you dance with someone, accept "no thank you" gracefully, keep holds appropriate, and stop if a partner is uncomfortable.
  • No illegal drugs, weapons or intoxication that puts you or others at risk.
  • Follow the instructions of staff and instructors, especially about safety.
  • Respect the space, equipment and other people's belongings.

We may refuse entry to, remove or ban anyone who violates this code of conduct, without refund. If someone makes you uncomfortable, please tell us or your instructor right away.

9. Minors

  • Anyone under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the booking and sign the waiver on their behalf.
  • Children under [13] must be supervised by a parent, guardian or responsible adult at all times, including at family-friendly events and private rentals.
  • The host of a private event is responsible for supervising all minors attending that event.
  • We do not provide childcare.

10. Waiver and assumption of risk

Dance, fitness and movement activities involve physical exertion and an inherent risk of injury, including sprains, strains, falls, collisions with other participants, and in rare cases more serious injury. Attending events in any shared space also carries some risk.

Every participant and every Renter must sign our Waiver and Release before taking part in a class, social, event, studio session or other activity in our space. Once signed, it covers all future visits until you revoke it in writing. Renters must share the waiver with their guests and collect signatures on request.

By participating, you confirm that you are physically able to take part, that you will listen to your body and stop if something does not feel right, and that you will tell your instructor about any injury or condition that may affect your participation. Consult a physician before starting any new exercise program if you have concerns about your health.

The signed waiver is a separate agreement and is in addition to these Terms. If there is any conflict, the waiver controls for matters it covers.

11. Personal property

You are responsible for your personal belongings and for any items, decorations or equipment you or your vendors bring into the space. Mee You is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property. Items left behind after a rental may be held for 14 days, after which we may donate or dispose of them.

12. Photos, video and your content

Classes, socials, events and pop-ups may be photographed, filmed, recorded or livestreamed by Mee You and the instructors, contractors and partners working with us. Your permission for us to use these photos and recordings, and your option to opt out, are set out in our Waiver and Release. If you opt out, we make reasonable efforts not to feature you, though you may still appear in the background of group or wide shots. You can change your choice anytime by emailing [email protected].

You may take personal photos and videos, but you may not record classes or instructors' choreography for commercial use, or film other participants who ask not to be filmed, without our permission. Photography by Mee You during a private rental will be agreed with the host in advance.

If you tag us or share content with us (for example, on Instagram or TikTok), you give us permission to repost it with credit. We will remove it if you ask.

13. Text message program

By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Mee You about classes, pop-ups, events, bookings and offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your mobile information. We do not share mobile numbers or opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

14. Giveaways and promotions

From time to time we may run giveaways or drawings (such as prizes for a space rental or classes). No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and a purchase does not improve your chances. Each giveaway will have its own rules, including eligibility, entry period, how winners are selected and notified, and any prize limits. Prizes have no cash value, are non-transferable unless the rules say otherwise, and may be subject to availability and expiration dates. Void where prohibited.

15. Use of our website

You agree not to misuse our website, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, submitting false bookings or spam through our forms, scraping content, or using it for any unlawful purpose. Our website may link to third-party sites and tools (such as Square, Google and social media platforms). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

16. Intellectual property

The Mee You name, logo, tagline "The Space Between Us," website design, text, graphics, flyers and photos are owned by or licensed to Mee You and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may share our posts and flyers to promote our events, but you may not otherwise copy, modify or use our content or branding for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Class choreography and instruction belong to the instructor who created them. Recording a class requires permission from the instructor.

17. Disclaimers

The Services, the space and our website are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any class will produce a particular result. Nothing on our website is medical or fitness advice.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mee You and its owner, staff, instructors and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities, arising out of or related to the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct or fraud.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Mee You and its owner, staff, instructors and contractors from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the space, or the actions of your guests or vendors during a booking you made.

20. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, please contact us first. Most issues can be resolved quickly with a conversation, and we will make a good faith effort to work it out within 30 days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the small claims court or the state courts located in Riverside County, California, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

21. General terms

  • Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they were last revised. Changes apply to bookings made after the update. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
  • Language. We may provide these Terms in Spanish for convenience. If there is a conflict between versions, the English version controls.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, our Privacy Policy, your signed waiver, and any booking confirmation or event agreement make up the entire agreement between you and Mee You regarding the Services.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.
  • Force majeure. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, fires, power outages, public health orders or government action.
